Nova radio star Jack Charles announced on Wednesday night that he will be leaving The Chrissie Swan Show after 11 years. His final broadcast is scheduled for Friday, with speculation mounting that he has been recruited by KIIS FM Sydney for their breakfast slot.

Charles, 29, stated during his on-air announcement that he felt ready for a new challenge as he approaches his 30th birthday. He indicated that he had discussed his departure with co-host Chrissie Swan, who is currently on sick leave, and that Swan was supportive of his decision.

Headlines quickly emerged suggesting Charles could be joining the KIIS FM Sydney lineup to take over the coveted breakfast slot. This follows recent comments from Kyle Sandilands, who claimed a celebrity presenter would succeed his former breakfast show, which ended five months ago. Sandilands had suggested Dr. Chris Brown and Amy Gerard for the role, but KIIS FM subsequently denied these claims, stating no replacements had been finalized.

KIIS FM issued a statement to news.com.au, stating, "We haven’t signed him. We're not commenting on any of the speculation. We'll let you know when we have something to share." Dr. Chris Brown also addressed the rumors on Fox FM's Fifi, Fev and Nick, implying the reports were untrue.
