Jack Antonoff, a Grammy-winning music producer, was seen walking his estranged wife Margaret Qualley's dog, Smokey, in New York City on Thursday. The outing suggests the couple, who are reportedly separated and have no plans to reconcile, are maintaining a cooperative approach to co-parenting their pet.
Antonoff, 42, was seen with the dog alongside a male friend. He was wearing a navy-blue T-shirt and jeans and carrying a coffee cup. Qualley, 31, was reportedly working on the set of the upcoming film "Possession," a reboot of the 1981 psychological horror film. She was dressed in a purple dress with extended hair extensions, preparing for her dual roles in the movie.
News of their separation surfaced earlier in July, with reports indicating the couple is "done for good" but still communicating respectfully. Qualley's representative told TMZ on July 10 that the marriage ended without infidelity or trust issues, describing their relationship as "rocky." The couple reportedly split about a month before their third wedding anniversary.
Antonoff, known for his work with numerous artists, previously featured Smokey, a dog adopted by Qualley in 2022, in the music video for Bleachers' song "You and Forever" in February. Antonoff is currently on tour, with his band scheduled to headline the Shadow of the City Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on August 28.
Qualley, the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell, has a number of upcoming projects. She is set to appear in "Possession," directed by Parker Finn, and also stars in Ridley Scott's science-fiction film "The Dog Stars," scheduled for release on August 28. Her other upcoming films include the Amazon romantic drama "Love of Your Life" and Neon's horror film "King Snake."
