Jacinda Ardern Purchases $5.3 Million Sydney Home

Jacinda Ardern and her husband, Clarke Gayford, have purchased a $5.3 million property in the Sydney suburb of Dee Why, an upscale beachside community. The sale was conducted with a high degree of privacy, with the property's exact address not disclosed in its current listing.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home features extensive glass to maximize views of the ocean, North Curl Curl, Manly Beach, and the Sydney skyline. The architecturally designed residence spans three levels and incorporates natural timber elements throughout.

Inside, the property offers multiple living spaces suitable for family life and entertaining, including indoor-outdoor living areas, private balconies, and a swimming pool. A separate rumpus room provides flexible space, and the gas kitchen includes a large island bench and butler's pantry. The master suite boasts ocean views, its own balcony, and an ensuite bathroom.

This purchase marks the highest sale in the Dee Why area this year, more than doubling the suburb's median house price of $2.5 million. Ardern and Gayford relocated to Australia earlier this year. A spokesperson for Ardern stated that the family is basing themselves in Australia for work and to maintain proximity to New Zealand.

The couple has been traveling since Ardern resigned as Prime Minister in 2023. She also held a distinguished fellow position at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
