Ivanka Trump marked Father's Day by reflecting on her husband Jared Kushner's absence, explaining that his presence was felt despite him not being able to attend their family gathering at Camp David.
Trump, 42, shared her thoughts on Instagram, where she has 8.7 million followers. She posted a carousel of photographs from a weekend spent at the presidential retreat with her father, President Donald Trump, her siblings, and her three children: Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.
"Last Sunday, we gathered at Camp David with my dad, my siblings, our children and their cousins," she wrote. "Grateful for another Father's Day together. Jared couldn't be with us. But his absence was one born on purpose. And we felt his presence all the same."
She added, "The older I get, the more I realize that family is built in both the extraordinary moments and the ordinary ones: a walk, a laugh, a story shared around the dinner table. These become the memories our children carry forward. Feeling especially grateful for the fathers who love, lead, and serve through both presence and sacrifice."
Despite Kushner's absence, the family celebrated Father's Day with President Trump surrounded by his children and grandchildren. The gathering included Ivanka's siblings Don Jr. and his new wife Bettina, Eric and his wife Lara Trump, and Tiffany Trump and her husband Michael Boulos, along with their respective children.
In addition to the Father's Day celebration, Ivanka also shared memories from her brother Don Jr.'s recent wedding in the Bahamas. She posted photos of the event, which included herself and Jared Kushner, on what appeared to be a beach. The carousel also featured images of the newlyweds, other family members, and Ivanka's vacation attire.
Don Jr. and Bettina legally married in Palm Beach before celebrating with close friends and family in the Bahamas. Bettina expressed her gratitude for the shared memories, commenting on Ivanka's post, "Thank you sweet sister. Love you."
