Ivanka Trump faced criticism on social media Sunday after posting photos from the World Cup final. The daughter of former President Donald Trump shared images on X, formerly Twitter, of herself and her sister, Tiffany Trump, en route to the match between Spain and Argentina.
"Next stop: World Cup," Ivanka Trump captioned the posts. She also shared a video of her father observing the stadium from Marine One.
The social media activity drew questions from some users regarding who funded the tickets, particularly as World Cup prices had been a subject of scrutiny. Other commenters questioned the appropriateness of their attendance given the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and the conflict in Iran, which was initiated by the Trump administration in February. The former president's family members are not elected officials.
