Israeli Forces Kill Terrorist Seen Kidnapping Noa Argamani
Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, identified as the operative who seized Noa Argamani in a viral video during the Oct. 7 Hamas attack, was killed in Gaza.
Israeli military and intelligence forces have killed Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the terrorist seen in a viral video kidnapping Noa Argamani during the Hamas massacre on Oct. 7, 2023, officials announced Sunday.
Sakr was identified by the Israeli Defense Forces’ undercover Gideonim Unit 33, which located him in the Nuseirat area of Gaza. The IDF accused Sakr of being an operative in global Jihad organizations who supplied combat means to Hamas during the war.
He was allegedly involved in the assault on the Nova Music Festival, where nearly 380 people were killed. Footage from the attack showed Sakr cheering as he drove away on a motorcycle with a pleading Argamani, an image that became one of the most widely shared and harrowing depictions of the Hamas rampage.
Argamani was held captive for eight months before being rescued in a daring operation in June. Her mother died of brain cancer just a month before her rescue.
In a separate operation, Israeli forces also killed Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Gabain, a Hamas commander implicated in holding nine hostages abducted on Oct. 7. The hostages included Ziv Berman, Eitan Mor, Liri Albag, Agam Berger, Matan Engerst, Gali Berman, Omri Miran, Keith Siegel, and Alon Ohel.
Gabain was targeted in an airstrike in northern Gaza. The IDF stated that he was coordinating terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians and was working to restore Hamas's capabilities during a previous ceasefire. The military said Gabain was eliminated to neutralize the threat he posed.
