The Israeli military announced it has destroyed two extensive Hezbollah tunnel systems beneath the Ali Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, utilizing over 1,100 tons of explosives. These subterranean networks stretched more than 1.2 miles and were identified by the IDF as a central command and control site for Hezbollah's Badr regional division.
According to the IDF, the tunnels were constructed over two decades with financial backing and planning originating from Iran. They reportedly contained a significant cache of Iranian-made weaponry, including rockets, missiles, and drones, alongside firearms, anti-tank weapons, mines, and other explosives. The military described the site as the "nerve center" for Hezbollah's operations in the region.
