Raven Adams, a 24-year-old Irish woman, was laid to rest in Dublin after being fatally struck by a car in Belfast. The incident occurred on York Street around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, shortly after Adams had finished a shift at The Thirsty Goat pub.

A man was seriously injured in the collision and transported to a hospital. Police reported that the driver fled the scene but was subsequently arrested nearby. Francis Donaldson, 22, of Cardigan Drive in Belfast, has appeared in court facing charges including causing death by dangerous driving.

Adams, originally from Co. Tipperary, was remembered by loved ones at a funeral service held Tuesday morning at Dardistown Crematorium in Dublin. Her older sister, Chandi, shared heartfelt memories, stating, 'I cannot contemplate life without you, Raven.' She read a message from their mother, Kelsie, who expressed profound grief, saying, 'My heart is shattered into a million pieces.'

Her father, Adam, described Raven as a 'force of nature,' a 'fun, funny, silly' individual who was 'fiery and passionate.' He highlighted her resilience, noting that life's challenges did not define her but instead shaped her into an 'independent and confident young woman.' He recalled a Facebook post that resonated with him: 'If anyone could make lemonade when life gives you lemons, it was you kid.'

Friends and housemates also spoke at the funeral, celebrating Adams's life. The Taylor Swift song 'Bigger Than the Whole Sky' was played during the service.
