Iranian Attacks Cause Widespread Damage to US Bases, Equipment

Iranian missile and drone attacks have inflicted extensive damage on U.S. military bases and equipment in the Middle East, according to newly surfaced photographs. Images shared by service members in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait depict destroyed aircraft, collapsed structures, and charred vehicles, indicating a level of destruction not fully communicated to the public.

One particularly striking image shows the remains of a $270 million American E-3 Sentry spy plane that was destroyed following an attack on Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan Air Force Base in March. At the time of the incident, six of the U.S. Air Force's 16 E-3 Sentry aircraft in circulation were stationed at the base.

Photographs also captured damage at Camp Buehring and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, where U.S. Army ground troops are based. These locations sustained damage to trailers and vehicles. Camp Arifjan is situated near Port Shuaiba, where six U.S. service members were killed by Iranian drones early in the conflict.

One service member disputed claims by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that only a small number of Iranian strikes were penetrating U.S. defenses, stating, "We're not defending these bases. We're just watching them get destroyed."

The revelations follow a recent report from the Defense Department’s Office of Inspector General regarding the costs of the conflict. The report indicated total "equipment losses" amounted to approximately $3.7 billion, including nearly 60 aircraft. The first four months of the war alone incurred costs of $33.4 billion, excluding infrastructure repair expenses.
