Iran's foreign ministry has warned Bulgaria against allowing the United States to use its territory for military operations targeting Iran. The warning, issued by ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, stated that any activity facilitating U.S. attacks on Iran would be considered complicity in "aggression and war crimes."

The statement from Tehran follows reports that the Bulgarian government intends to seek parliamentary approval to station up to eight U.S. tanker aircraft at the Bezmer military facility, located approximately 260 kilometers southeast of the capital, Sofia. These aircraft are primarily used for aerial refueling, including during strike missions.

Baghaei urged Bulgaria not to become an "accomplice of aggressors and lawbreakers." The deployment of the aircraft is still awaiting parliamentary approval within Bulgaria, and the government has called for an end to hostilities involving Iran. The U.S. and Iran have seen increased strikes since a temporary ceasefire agreement expired a month prior, raising concerns about a potential return to full-scale conflict.
