Iran is reportedly preparing for a new attack on Israel, designed to mirror the Oct. 7 Hamas assault, according to Israeli intelligence assessments. The Islamic Republic is allegedly planning a coordinated, multi-front offensive involving its network of proxies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen.

Officials within Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have reportedly been working to revitalize its “Axis of Resistance” network. This effort has included multiple planning meetings with leaders from Hezbollah, the Houthis, and various Iraqi militias to discuss escalating actions against Israel. The IRGC is also reportedly conducting joint training exercises with these proxies and is increasing its production of drones and missiles to replenish stockpiles depleted by previous conflicts with Israel and the United States.

Intelligence suggests that Hezbollah and Hamas have also intensified their coordination to pressure Israel from multiple fronts. The report indicates that such a coordinated regional strike has been a long-term objective, aligning with the strategic goals of Yahya Sinwar, a key figure in the Oct. 7 attacks. While Sinwar reportedly envisioned a broader Arab world joining the initial assault, which resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and the abduction of 250 others, Iran and Hezbollah were not given advance notice of the specific date of the attacks and did not immediately participate in a full-scale invasion.

The alleged plot signifies Iran's ambition to replicate the October 7th events through a synchronized regional effort. The replenishment of military assets and joint training exercises point to preparations for a future campaign aimed at overwhelming Israeli defenses.
