Iran, Cuba Delegations Walk Out of Trump's UN Speech
Nations' delegates stage walkout during president's remarks threatening regime change.
Delegations from Iran and Cuba walked out of President Donald Trump's speech at the United Nations on Tuesday after the U.S. president threatened to take down their governments.
The Iranian delegation began to leave as Trump addressed the country, stating he had a choice to make about whether to "annihilate the Islamic Republic" or to "drive them into hell." A single staff member remained at the Iranian delegation's seat.
During the section of his 38-minute address concerning Cuba, Trump called the nation an "absolutely failed state" and declared that its government "will fall." Following these remarks, Cuban delegates also departed the room.
Trump further stated that Secretary of State Marco Rubio was leading the U.S. effort for "fundamental change" in Cuba.
