Ipswich Father Charged With Murder of Infant Son

A Queensland father has been charged with murder after his three-month-old son died following a hospital admission with significant internal injuries.
The investigation began last Thursday when the infant was taken to Ipswich Hospital. The baby was subsequently transferred to Brisbane's Queensland Children’s Hospital, where he died on Tuesday.
Detectives from the Ipswich Child Protection Investigation Unit, assisted by the Child Trauma Unit, arrested a 28-year-old man at an Ipswich residence. He has been charged with one count of murder, specifically domestic violence against a child.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Investigations into the infant's death are ongoing.
