Britons seeking to escape rising beer prices at home may find relief by traveling abroad, according to a recent analysis of holiday destinations. Data compiled by Jet2 highlights ten countries where the average price of a half-liter beer is less than £3, a stark contrast to the UK's average price of £5.01.

Tunisia emerges as the most budget-friendly destination, with the average beer price at £1.27. The North African nation offers a combination of sunshine, culture, and affordable drinks, making it an attractive option for holidaymakers.

Following Tunisia, Bulgaria ranks second with an average beer price of £1.74. Known for its Black Sea resorts and charming towns, Bulgaria has previously been recognized for its overall affordability for travelers.

The Czech Republic secures the third spot with beers averaging £1.74, particularly in its capital, Prague, a city celebrated for its rich beer culture and historic architecture.

Hungary is next on the list, with an average beer price of £2.08. Budapest, the capital, is famous for its unique ruin bars and offers a vibrant city break experience at a reasonable cost.

Portugal follows with an average beer price of £2.14. Destinations like the Algarve and Madeira provide sunny escapes, and cities such as Lisbon have been noted for their high levels of traveler satisfaction.

Montenegro takes the sixth position with beers costing an average of £2.39. This Balkan nation boasts dramatic Adriatic scenery and historic coastal towns, with its capital, Podgorica, also noted as an affordable city break destination.

Spain, a perennial favorite for British tourists, ranks seventh with an average beer price of £2.56. From the mainland coasts to the islands, popular spots like the Costa Blanca and La Palma offer pints for as little as £1.30, while wine prices also remain competitive.

Turkey comes in eighth place with an average beer price of £2.77, offering a blend of beaches, historical sites, and value for money.

Poland is ninth on the list, with an average beer price of £2.92. Cities like Krakow and Gdansk are popular for their cultural attractions and affordable drinks, including wine which ranges from approximately £1.70 to £3.40.

Croatia rounds out the top ten, with beers averaging £2.99. Its Adriatic coastline, historic cities like Dubrovnik, and unique cliffside bars contribute to its appeal as a destination that remains accessible even with rising costs elsewhere.
