An alleged international child abuse network has been dismantled following a coordinated effort by law enforcement agencies, culminating in arrests across five countries. New South Wales Police in Australia led the investigation, which targeted offshore online child abuse networks.

Intelligence referrals from the NSW Police Sex Crimes Squad Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) prompted urgent action from international partners. These referrals led to the identification and arrest of alleged offenders in Uruguay, England, Poland, Mexico, and the United States. According to a NSW Police spokesperson, all arrested individuals have been charged with child abuse offenses and are currently in custody.

Two primary operations within the CEIU were involved in this investigation: Strike Force Constantine and Strike Force Trawler. Strike Force Constantine focuses on the online distribution of child sexual abuse material with ritualistic or satanic themes. Strike Force Trawler addresses broader child exploitation offenses facilitated via the internet and telecommunications platforms.

"Across both operations, detectives have analysed intelligence, identified offshore account holders, and urgently referred critical information to international law enforcement partners," the spokesperson stated. "These coordinated efforts have resulted in the identification and arrest of alleged offenders in Uruguay, England, Poland, Mexico and the United States."

One specific incident highlighted in the investigation occurred on July 18, when a man was apprehended at the Mexican border. Authorities reported finding him in possession of child abuse material.
