Sam Wilmot, the founder of the Instagram account 'Rate This Bench,' has awarded his first-ever perfect 10/10 score to a bench located in a South Gloucestershire churchyard. The account, which features Wilmot reviewing benches he encounters, has gained a following for its unique focus on public seating.
Wilmot's wife, Sophie, has been instrumental in the project, serving as the photographer for the account since they met. She expressed gratitude for being part of the journey, highlighting the shared experiences of walking to benches, conversations, and appreciating life's smaller details.
Wilmot stated that the bench, discovered during the early stages of their relationship, holds significant personal meaning for the couple. It was later chosen as the venue for their wedding. Following the ceremony, Wilmot was photographed on the bench, marking the occasion with his wife.
"The best view, on the best day, sat on the best bench," Wilmot remarked about the experience. The chosen bench is situated in a churchyard in South Gloucestershire.
