A television librarian for Channel 4 was found dead in the sea at a Welsh seaside resort after traveling more than 110 miles from her home, an inquest heard.

Lolita Visa, 32, was discovered in Llandudno, north Wales, on August 26. An inquest into her death was told that Ms. Visa had traveled from Halifax, West Yorkshire, to visit her father in Manchester. She subsequently journeyed to Liverpool and then to Llandudno, sharing photographs of these locations with her father.

Family members reported Ms. Visa missing to West Yorkshire Police on August 22, the last day she was heard from. North Wales Police were alerted on August 25, initiating a search.

A member of the public spotted a body in the water off the coast of Llandudno and contacted HM Coastguard the following day. The deceased was brought ashore by lifeboat and transported to the lifeboat station, according to coroner John Gittins. A post-mortem examination indicated injuries consistent with submersion in water.

Ms. Visa, who was described as a "joy to be around," was employed as a Digital Media Librarian at Channel 4 and had previously worked for the streaming company Dazn. Her inquest has been adjourned to a later date.

Her family has initiated a fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses, aiming to return her to her native Latvia. A relative, Wiktoria Januszewska, wrote on the fundraising page that the family was unprepared for the loss and is not in a financial position to cover all costs. They are seeking donations and wider sharing of Ms. Visa's story to honor her memory.
