Fox News host Laura Ingraham is urging Republicans to "get their act together" ahead of the fall midterm elections, citing signs of Democratic strength in traditionally Republican areas and apparent apathy within the party's base.

On her show "The Ingraham Angle," Ingraham discussed concerns with Michael LaRosa, former press secretary to first lady Jill Biden, and Ned Ryun, CEO of American Majority. Ryun specifically voiced apprehension about several Senate seats that Republicans had considered safe, including those in South Carolina, Alaska, Iowa, Nebraska, and Ohio.

"We got to kick it into gear over these next 10 weeks, or we're looking at not only losing the House, but losing the Senate as well," Ryun stated, noting "real apathy in the grassroots."

Ingraham echoed these sentiments, pointing to Texas Republican Ken Paxton's limited campaign appearances despite an endorsement from former President Donald Trump. "I guess he’s hoping Trump and Elon Musk save him," Ingraham said. "But he’d better get going in Texas."

LaRosa acknowledged that Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in South Carolina, Dr. Annie Andrews, faces disadvantages but suggested Democrats have a chance in other states Ryun mentioned. Ingraham identified Iowa as another state where Republicans need to improve their campaign efforts.

The segment comes as Democrats have reportedly gained momentum in some conservative regions. The impact of Trump's endorsement of Paxton, who is facing multiple scandals, is believed to have benefited his Democratic challenger, James Talarico.

Former President Trump himself appeared to acknowledge concerns about pre-midterm Republican apathy, sharing a post on Truth Social from influencer Matt Van Swol that claimed the GOP was "sleepwalking toward a midterm reckoning they don’t see coming."
