Influencers Slammed for Photoshoot Blocking Active Ambulance

A pair of social media influencers faced public condemnation after blocking an active ambulance to stage a photoshoot in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, last week.

The incident, captured by an onlooker, showed a man reclining on a gurney inside the emergency vehicle while a woman posed and took his picture. The ambulance had pulled over to the side of the road to attend to a patient.

A bystander intervened, ushering the influencers away from the ambulance as medical personnel wheeled the patient into the vehicle. The passerby reportedly continued to confront the pair, gesturing toward the patient as he did so.

The influencers, described as looking disgruntled, eventually moved away from the scene. The video clip was initially shared with text mocking the situation, suggesting it was a fashion week-inspired photoshoot for those unable to attend Milan Fashion Week.

Upon circulating online, the video drew widespread criticism. Online comments labeled the influencers as 'ghouls with cameras and zero self awareness,' 'reckless,' 'disrespectful,' and 'disgusting.' Many called for such behavior to be shamed.

California law considers obstructing, hindering, or tampering with emergency vehicles and personnel responding to a call a misdemeanor offense. Penalties can include up to one year in county jail and fines of up to $1,000.

The identities of the individuals involved remain unknown, and it is unclear if any legal consequences followed the incident.
