Influencer Sydney Towle, 26, has shared an update on her ongoing battle with bile duct cancer, emphasizing her need to 'preserve her energy' while undergoing treatment. Towle, who has been documenting her journey with cholangiocarcinoma for three years, posted on TikTok on July 4th regarding her current health status.

Speaking from her hospital bed, Towle explained that she had been limiting her phone use, even avoiding responses to her mother, to manage her energy. She reported receiving six blood transfusions and a new drain to help balance fluid levels in her body, describing the process as a "very careful balance" that has been "very tiring."

Towle stated that she was scheduled to restart chemotherapy with a modified, shorter regimen on Monday, followed by a course of "new cells" in the subsequent days. She acknowledged that her silence can cause concern among her followers but reiterated that conserving energy and self-care are her current priorities.

Towle was diagnosed with bile duct cancer at the age of 23 in August 2023, after doctors found a "sizable mass" in her stomach that had been growing for four months. Bile duct cancer, or cholangiocarcinoma, is an aggressive form of cancer that can affect individuals of various ages, though it is more commonly diagnosed in those over 50. Towle's tumor was linked to a genetic mutation.

Previously, Towle had to address claims circulating online that she had "just days left" to live. She shared at the time that such comments could be distressing, recounting a moment of panic triggered by negative speculation. Despite these challenges, Towle, who recently appeared on a catwalk at Miami Swim Week, expressed her determination not to let negative commentary diminish her hope.

"Nobody knows what's going to happen and miracles happen every day and things change constantly," she said, asserting her right to believe in positive outcomes for her health journey.
