Paige Lorenze, a socialite and content creator married to tennis star Tommy Paul, engaged in a public dispute with a Nantucket business over a sign displayed in their store that read, "No influencers."

The Four Winds Craft Guild, a business operating since 1948 that sells handcrafted items, posted the sign, which prompted a lengthy comment from Lorenze on the store's Instagram post.

Lorenze questioned the store's stance, writing, "If you call yourself a feminist but proudly put up a ‘No Influencers’ sign, it’s worth asking who you are attempting to delegitimize, and why… Mocking women when they become powerful in a new industry isn’t new. It’s just a strange message coming from a store that celebrates a craft with such a rich history of women shaping the island and its economy."

Lorenze, who launched her lifestyle brand Dairy Boy in 2021, defended the influencer industry, stating that the creator economy is predominantly driven by women. She highlighted the shift of billions of dollars in advertising to creator marketing due to its effectiveness in building trust, community, and driving sales.

"One woman with a loyal audience can successfully launch a business at a scale that would have once required corporate backing and massive advertising budgets. That’s a win. This sign isn’t," Lorenze concluded.

Following Lorenze's comments, the original Instagram post was reportedly deleted. The Four Winds Craft Guild responded on their Instagram Stories, noting that their page had been reported. The business shared an image stating, "Imagine being so bored with life that you spend your pastime trying to report a photo on IG that makes you feel uncomfortable,' and later re-shared the image of their 'No influencers' sign.

Lorenze married Paul, a professional tennis player, earlier this month. She previously spoke to Page Six Style in September 2025 about her personal and professional growth, expressing admiration for influencers like Hailey Bieber for their ability to impact audiences with a clear vision.
