Influencer 'Clavicular' Faces Rape, Drugging Charges in Massachusetts

Braden Peters, 20, an online influencer known as "Clavicular," has been charged with rape and drugging someone to facilitate sexual intercourse, along with an alcohol-related misdemeanor, in Massachusetts. The charges stem from a May 23, 2025, incident at his family home in Chatham on Cape Cod, according to court records.

A woman accused Peters of getting her drunk and having sex with her without her consent when she was 17. She told investigators she connected with Peters on Instagram and was invited to his home to create "looksmaxxing" content, a trend focused on maximizing physical attractiveness. Peters was allegedly livestreaming on Twitch at the time and instructed the teenager to tell viewers she was 18 and refer to alcohol as "water" to avoid violating platform rules.

Video clips from Peters' Twitch account reportedly captured portions of the evening, including the teenager stating she was "so drunk." Police indicated that the alleged victim's level of intoxication made her unable to consent. She awoke the following morning to a second sexual encounter that she alleged was also without her consent.

A judge found probable cause for the charges on September 4, and a criminal complaint was issued September 8 in Orleans District Court. Peters, who was issued a summons, is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14.

Mitch Jackson, a representative for Peters, questioned the timing of the allegations, noting that a civil lawsuit against Peters was initially filed without a sexual assault count, which was added later through an amendment. Jackson stated that Peters later moved to dismiss the civil suit, arguing that text messages and letters supported his position and that Peters "refused to pay money." He added that the accuser and her lawyer then contacted the police.

Peters also took to social media to deny the allegations, posting screenshots of messages and a handwritten letter he claimed supported his position. He wrote, "Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you."

The alleged victim reportedly went to Chatham police with an attorney on June 4, 2026, more than a year after the alleged encounter. She explained that she initially kept the incident to herself due to embarrassment and reluctance to tell her grandparents, with whom she was living at the time.

Uber records confirmed Peters' name and phone number in connection with the night of the alleged encounter. A Chatham police officer attempted to contact Peters by phone in late August without success; his voicemail was full, and he had not contacted the department as of August 30.

Peters has a significant online following for his looksmaxxing content. This Massachusetts case is not his first legal issue. Earlier this year, Peters faced a misdemeanor charge in Florida for allegedly firing a gun at a dead alligator during a livestream. At the time, his attorney stated that Peters followed the instructions of a licensed guide and that no people or animals were harmed. Peters was also arrested in Florida on battery and conspiracy-to-commit-battery charges stemming from an altercation between two women at an Airbnb, where authorities alleged Peters instigated the fight and posted video of it to social media to "exploit the two women."
