Influencer Brianna Chickenfry has publicly shared her theories regarding the recent divorce filing of country artist Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie XO. In an episode of her podcast, "Plan Bri Uncut," Chickenfry suggested that Jelly Roll's substantial weight loss, reportedly nearly 300 pounds, led to a shift in his ego and a belief that he could find a more suitable partner.
Chickenfry posited that Jelly Roll's marriage to Bunnie XO, 46, was a significant factor in his public image and likability. She argued that their shared past and unified front, despite their struggles, made him relatable to fans. "The only redeeming thing about him was how much he loved his wife and how in union they were and how they made it out together and they built this incredible life from the dark past that they had together," Chickenfry stated on her podcast.
Jelly Roll, 41, filed for divorce on May 18, citing irreconcilable differences after nearly 10 years of marriage. Despite the filing, Bunnie XO has indicated that the couple intends to remain amicable and even plan to have a child together via in vitro fertilization (IVF). Chickenfry expressed skepticism about Bunnie XO's public stance, suggesting she may still be protecting Jelly Roll.
"She doesn't mean that," Chickenfry said, referring to Bunnie XO's openness to her ex-husband dating. "She's still under the mind control of him and this is why I know that she doesn't mean that, because all of her closest friends are reposting – like you know her girls, that you always see her with – They're reposting the most asinine, crazy, insulting videos about Jelly Roll and how he's the worst person and how people only like him because of Bunnie."
Chickenfry also addressed speculation that Bunnie XO's past as an escort and her candid discussions about her history might conflict with Jelly Roll's current Christian faith. However, Chickenfry countered this by pointing out Jelly Roll's own past, which includes a history of drug addiction and legal troubles. "Hey buddy, you were the one that got with an escort. She was an escort. She's talked about it. You were a drug addict and you were going to prison and in and out of jail. Now your morals don't align with it because you're f–king skinny?" she questioned.
Chickenfry predicted that Jelly Roll would likely pursue a relationship with a younger woman fitting the "trad wife" archetype. She suggested that his decision to divorce Bunnie XO, whom she considers his only "redeeming" quality, and his weight loss, were intertwined.
Sources indicate that Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have already begun to move on, with Bunnie XO reportedly seen with reality star Dylan Wolf. Jelly Roll has also stated that he is dating again and encouraged women to message him directly. The divorce proceedings are reportedly being settled quickly, with the couple having listed May 9 as their date of separation.
