Content creator Tom Christopher has apologized for leaving a bathtub on a mountain, describing the act as an "honest mistake" and a "dirty mistake." The bathtub was discovered by Cardiff Rugby academy players who were carrying out maintenance work on Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. They assisted rangers in retrieving the item.
Christopher stated that he carried the bathtub up the mountain and bathed in it at the summit. He initially considered leaving it there, influenced by people who told him it was "awesome and cool." However, he now recognizes that he "should never have left anything up the mountain" and wishes he had "been thinking more about keeping our nature clean."
He was informed by the national park that the incident was reported as fly-tipping and is uncertain if he will face a fine. Christopher mentioned he is currently in his overdraft and does not have the financial means to pay a fine. He expressed hope for an option to perform voluntary work to settle any potential penalty.
Bannau Brycheiniog National Park has been contacted for comment on the incident.
