The NTT IndyCar Series is set to hold its Freedom 250 Grand Prix on the streets of Washington, D.C., a landmark event coinciding with the America 250 celebrations. Organizers anticipate 140,000 fans for the race, with initially free tickets being claimed quickly.
The 250-mile race is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET. The circuit starts in front of the Capitol Building, proceeds down Pennsylvania Avenue, and navigates a path through the National Mall before returning to the start-finish line. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has been involved in the planning and federal coordination for the event.
Fans can watch the race live on Fox, with an extended prerace show beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET. For those interested in earlier track action, a pre-race warm-up session will be broadcast on FS1 starting at 9 a.m. ET.
Streaming options are available for all sessions across Fox, FS1, and FS2 via FOX ONE for viewers without traditional cable packages.
Following the Washington, D.C. event, the IndyCar Series will move to the Milwaukee Mile for a doubleheader weekend of races on August 29 and 30, both of which will also be broadcast on FOX.
