Indiana Hoosiers Extend College Football's Longest Winning Streak with Comeback Victory Over Nebraska

The No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers maintained the nation's longest active winning streak in college football, staging a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Nebraska 20-17 on Saturday. The victory extended Indiana's streak to 22 games and marked their 27th consecutive win against unranked opponents.

Indiana quarterback Josh Hoover completed 12 of 22 passes for 263 yards and two touchdowns, with wide receiver Nick Marsh emerging as a key target. Marsh recorded six receptions for 187 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score.

The Hoosiers struggled offensively in the first half, managing only 115 total yards and trailing 10-3 at halftime. Nebraska opened the scoring with a field goal and extended their lead with a touchdown pass from quarterback Anthony Colandrea to wide receiver Nyziah Hunter. Nebraska held a significant advantage in time of possession in the first half, controlling the ball for over 22 minutes.

Nebraska extended its lead to 17-6 early in the fourth quarter with a 39-yard touchdown run by Colandrea. However, Indiana responded immediately with a 75-yard touchdown pass from Hoover to Marsh on the ensuing possession, cutting the deficit to 17-13.

The Hoosiers took their first lead of the game on fourth down when Hoover connected with Marsh for a 44-yard touchdown pass, making the score 20-17. Indiana's defense then secured the win by forcing a turnover on downs late in the fourth quarter, despite Nebraska having timeouts and the two-minute warning.

With the loss, Nebraska fell to 5-1 on the season. The Hoosiers are set to face No. 5 Ohio State in their next game, while Nebraska will play No. 13 Oregon.
