Indiana Fever Guard Sophie Cunningham Says FBI Monitors About 20 Stalkers

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has disclosed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is monitoring approximately 20 individuals who pose a stalking threat to her. Cunningham revealed this on a recent podcast episode, highlighting a concerning aspect of public life for professional athletes that often goes unnoticed.

"The more you’re visible on TV, you’re gonna get more fans. People are gonna know who you are, and that’s a really great thing but there’s also a lot of crazy people too," Cunningham said on "This Past Weekend with Theo Von." "We do have a lot of stalkers, I know I do. That’s a negative side of things that people don’t think about."

She stated that the FBI is actively watching about 20 people due to these concerns. Cunningham, 30, mentioned that one of her stalkers, Kevin Singh, is currently incarcerated.

Singh, 49, was arrested in June after allegedly being caught on security cameras delivering a package to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in September 2025. The package reportedly contained a note and a cologne-scented Guns N' Roses t-shirt. His messages to Cunningham ranged from affectionate to explicitly sexual.

During a June 22 meeting with law enforcement, Cunningham initially downplayed the persistent messages and the package. However, as the situation escalated, she began to limit her public appearances and spend more time at home.

Singh was reportedly on probation for an unrelated case prior to his arrest. He faces stalking and intimidation charges, which are class 6 felonies, carrying potential sentences of six months to 2.5 years in prison per charge. His bail was set at $40,000 cash, but a judge denied his request.

Cunningham's situation is not isolated within the WNBA. Caitlin Clark, another prominent player, has also dealt with a stalker. Michael Lewis, who stalked Clark, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in 2025.
