Indian Influencer Nidhi Tiwari Dies at 30

Influencer and former pageant queen Nidhi Tiwari died Sunday at the age of 30, local Indian media reported. Tiwari was found at her home in Singrauli, where she lived with her mother and sister, who rushed her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Local outlets have reported her death as a suicide.

In the hours before her death, Tiwari posted several messages on her Facebook account. One message, written in Hindi, translated to: "No one has fulfilled this incomplete heart, I have completed it with myself, that is why it is said to love yourself, not someone else, search yourself in yourself, someone else, how long will you search for yourself?"

Morwa Police Station has opened an investigation into Tiwari's death, which will include a post-mortem examination and a review of her phone activity, a spokesperson told local media. Tiwari's mother told authorities that her daughter had an argument over the phone before locking herself in her room, refusing to eat, and asking to be left alone.

Tiwari, who was named Miss Pretty India in January 2024, had built a significant following online, with over 1.6 million followers across her Facebook and Instagram accounts. Her death has prompted an outpouring of condolences from followers on social media.

Her passing follows the recent death of fellow influencer Madalina Apostol, who died unexpectedly earlier this month. Apostol, a mother of three, split her time between Los Angeles and Mexico. Her boyfriend, Nick Radoi, confirmed her death, calling it "a great pain" and "a tragedy that is hard to put into words."
