A nearly completed In-N-Out Burger location is poised to open at Irvine's Great Park, a $1 billion development transforming the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station into a major public space. The signage for the popular burger chain has already been installed on the building, signaling its imminent arrival.

Drone footage shared on Instagram by Orange County realtor Tina Tan offers an aerial view of the new In-N-Out, which is described as massive. Tan noted in her post that the drive-thru appears well-designed to handle a large volume of traffic, anticipating significant customer draw.

The new restaurant is expected to open by the end of 2026. It will span 3,808 square feet and include a 500-square-foot outdoor patio, according to The Canopy's website. The city of Irvine's planning commission documents indicate the drive-thru lane is designed to accommodate 33 vehicles.

This In-N-Out will serve as an anchor for "The Canopy," a 90,000-square-foot retail and dining hub currently under construction within the Great Park. The Great Park project itself aims to convert the former military base into one of the largest public parks in the United States, projected to cover approximately 1,300 acres, surpassing Central Park's 843 acres upon full completion.

Beyond In-N-Out, The Canopy is slated to host a variety of other businesses, including Philz Coffee, The Taco Stand, H&H Bagels, SHOOTZ, and the Canadian Asian grocery chain T&T Supermarket.
