Plans have been presented for a new In-N-Out Burger location to be constructed at the Northridge Mall in Salinas, California, sparking enthusiasm among fans of the fast-food chain. The proposal, which includes a 3,890-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru on 1.18 acres, was detailed at a city council staff meeting on September 8.

The potential restaurant would be situated between an existing Panera Bread and Chick-fil-A, joining a recently opened Raising Cane's eatery at the mall. However, city documents indicate that the application is currently incomplete and the project has not yet received approval.

The news has led to a strong reaction on social media, with residents expressing eagerness for the new location. "This would be ideal," one user commented, while another wrote, "YES, it’s about time!"

Salinas currently has only one In-N-Out Burger, located off Highway 101 on Kern Street, which serves the city's population of approximately 164,000. The next closest In-N-Out is in Seaside, about 13 miles away, followed by a location in Gilroy, roughly 25 miles distant.

The burger chain has not yet announced the proposed Salinas location on its official website. The California Post has reached out to In-N-Out for comment. The company is continuing its expansion, with new openings planned in Tennessee, Arizona, and two additional locations in Southern California.
