Photographs obtained by CBS News, a partner of the BBC, depict widespread damage at several U.S. military sites in the Middle East resulting from Iranian strikes. The images, provided by active military personnel, show severely damaged buildings, flattened trailers, and a severed radar aircraft.

One undated photo illustrates a destroyed Boeing E-3 Sentry aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Force Base in Saudi Arabia, its tail section mangled. This type of aircraft is used for long-range target detection and early warning.

Other images reportedly taken at Camp Buehring in Kuwait show crumpled trailers and a large tent-like structure reduced to debris, with smoke emanating from the site. Another photograph depicts a damaged four-story building at Camp Arifjan, also in Kuwait.

These newly released images follow a report from the Pentagon's Inspector General confirming that hundreds of buildings and structures at U.S. bases across the Middle East have been damaged or destroyed by Iran. The report indicated equipment losses totaling $3.7 billion and noted that dozens of U.S. aircraft were destroyed or damaged, including five refuelling aircraft on the ground in Saudi Arabia.

The conflict with Iran began on February 28 following joint U.S. and Israeli attacks on the country. Since then, Iran has reportedly attacked U.S. bases and allied states in the Gulf, as well as Israel. The U.S. has spent $33.4 billion on the war up to June 29, according to the watchdog report.

Politically, pressure has been mounting on the White House to seek an end to the conflict. On Tuesday night, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure for the third time that would require President Donald Trump to end U.S. military action in Iran unless Congress provides approval. The vote, which included support from some Republicans, is seen as potentially the final House vote before the U.S. midterm elections in November.
