Authorities in Palatine, Illinois, are searching for Alyssa Smith, 24, who has been missing since September 30. Smith disappeared after a trip to Chicago with her boyfriend, Jacob Ray Caso, who reportedly returned home without her, according to her mother.
Caso has reshared missing person flyers on social media, with one post including the message, "Time to come home. No one is mad at you." Police have not accused Caso of any wrongdoing.
Smith's mother has been actively sharing information and photos on social media in an effort to find her daughter.
Palatine Police detectives are investigating Smith's whereabouts and are pursuing information regarding possible sightings. Reports indicate Smith may have been seen on October 3 in the Grant Park area and near Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road in Chicago. Investigators are working to confirm these potential sightings.
Smith is described as a White female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing between 135 and 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has several body piercings and tattoos, including a "Pennywise" clown tattoo on her left shoulder. At the time of her disappearance, she was believed to be wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light khaki pants or sweatpants, and white Adidas sneakers.
