The action is part of a federal investigation into allegations of immigration fraud concerning paperwork filed when she was a child, according to sources familiar with the matter. A Department of Justice spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that the warrant was secured by the DOJ and executed by HSI, the principal investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security.
HSI's investigative scope includes cross-border crime, human trafficking, child sexual exploitation, drug smuggling, and cybercrime, and it plays a significant role in counterterrorism operations. Two sources close to the investigation confirmed the details of the probe on Thursday.
