Ilhan Omar's Daughters Visit Home After Federal Raid Amid Investigation

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has not been seen publicly since a pre-dawn raid of her Washington, D.C. residence by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents approximately one week ago. In the days following the raid, her daughters have been observed visiting the property.

Isra Hirsi, Omar's eldest daughter, was seen arriving at the home in a black sedan under the cover of darkness on a Saturday night, carrying a bag. When approached by Fox News Digital, Hirsi asked, "What's your problem?" Later that evening, U.S. Capitol Police were observed on the street where Omar's home is located.

A younger daughter, believed to be Omar's second child, was also seen entering the home two days later, accompanied by a woman who appeared to be a caretaker. Omar's son is reportedly the only immediate family member not yet seen at the D.C. home since the federal search, during which her phone and passport were allegedly seized.

Omar shares three children with her husband, Ahmed Hirsi, to whom she was married both ceremonially in 2002 and legally in 2018. During the period before her legal marriage to Hirsi, she was legally married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi from 2009 until 2017. Omar's youngest daughter was born during this marriage. Omar also married political consultant Tim Mynett in 2020.

Mynett has been seen leaving the home intermittently over the past week, primarily to walk the family's dog. He has publicly stated he has "no concerns" about the investigation and pushed back against rumors that Omar had fled the country, telling Fox News Digital, "You guys are annoying the hell out of the neighbors around here, man."

Isra Hirsi, 23, is an activist who was arrested and suspended from Columbia University in 2024 for participating in a campus anti-Israel encampment. She also co-founded the U.S. Climate Strike in 2019, advocating for policies such as the Green New Deal, universal healthcare, and student debt relief. Hirsi has also publicly expressed anti-capitalist views on social media.

Omar's sister, Sahra Noor, canceled a scheduled book tour stop in Minnesota due to a "family emergency" last week. Three sources confirmed to Fox News Digital that Noor voluntarily spoke with federal investigators. "This raid by Trump’s DHS is an outrageous abuse of power and an unprecedented escalation in the weaponization of federal law enforcement to target political enemies," Omar stated on social media following the raid. "The Congresswoman has done nothing wrong. No president should be able to use the power of the federal government to intimidate his political enemies."

Sources confirmed to Fox News Digital that the HSI search warrant was executed in relation to an immigration fraud probe, investigating whether Omar or her father falsified information on her citizenship paperwork. Former Border Czar Tom Homan suggested that if the allegations are proven, they could lead to Omar's denaturalization. The New York Times reported that approximately a dozen individuals, including Omar's relatives, have been subpoenaed in connection with the case.

Vice President JD Vance told Fox News Digital last Tuesday that the investigation is not politically motivated, stating, "We really want to let the law, the facts drive this. And if justice requires something else be done, then, of course, we'll take a step when we have to."
