IDF Eliminates Hamas Terrorists, Including One Linked to Oct. 7 Hostage-Taking
The Israeli military announced the deaths of three Hamas Nukhba Force members in Gaza airstrikes.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Wednesday that three Hamas Nukhba Force terrorists were killed in airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on October 22 and 23. Among those eliminated was Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, who the IDF stated participated in the abduction of Israeli civilians during the October 7, 2023, attacks.
According to the IDF, Baraka was involved in the kidnapping of several Israelis, including Alexander Dancyg from Kibbutz Nir Oz. He also allegedly helped hold hostages, identified by the IDF as Nimrod Cohen. The IDF stated that these actions took place in southern Gaza on Thursday.
Two other Hamas operatives, identified as Nukhba platoon commander Omar Awadallah and Moataz Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Nimr, were killed in northern Gaza on Friday.
The military further claimed that the three deceased terrorists were planning attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and were working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, a violation of the ceasefire. The IDF stated that the strikes were executed with precision munitions and aerial surveillance to minimize civilian casualties.
