Identity Politics Critic Targets University Rector Role

Q Manivannan, who describes himself as a "queer Tamil immigrant," is now seeking the rector's position at the University of St Andrews, according to commentary by Jonathan Brocklebank.

Brocklebank asserts that Manivannan treats democracy as a stage for performative identity politics, and that St Andrews is the next venue for this approach. The commentary was published in the Daily Mail online.

Manivannan previously gained a political position in Scotland. An interview given by Manivannan on Indian television shortly after securing this political role is also mentioned in the commentary.
