Twins John and Bill Bowdler, both 82 years old, have lived remarkably parallel lives for their entire existence. Their mirrored experiences extend to their daily routines, careers, living arrangements, and even medical procedures.

Since childhood, the brothers have consistently dressed in identical outfits. This tradition continues to this day, with the earliest riser, John, selecting an outfit that Bill then matches before they descend for their morning coffee and toast. This shared habit is a reflection of their lifelong tendency to mirror each other's choices and activities.

Their parallel existence has also manifested in significant life events. When one twin required cataract surgery on his right eye, the other underwent the same procedure on the same eye. John Bowdler remarked that their identical nature made the decision seem natural, with Bill Bowdle, having had the surgery first, offering reassurance to his brother.

Professor Sai Kolli, a consultant at Newmedica Birmingham, noted the rarity of such a concurrent medical experience, stating, "They're the first twins we've had as patients here, and it must be such a rare occurrence to have them both have the same procedure on the same eyes."

Away from their shared routines and medical treatments, the twins engage in activities such as playing bingo and tenpin bowling, and watching football. They have also shared the same jobs and lived in the same home throughout their lives, further emphasizing the profound synchronicity of their experiences.
