An Idaho mother, Andrea Shaw, 23, has been indicted by a grand jury on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, Dallas and Tyson, in May 2025. The Payette Police Department announced the indictment Monday, following a homicide investigation that began when the toddlers were found deceased in their shared bed.

Shortly after the twins' deaths, Shaw and her husband, Nathaniel Shaw, appeared on a podcast hosted by the anti-vaccine nonprofit Children's Health Defense. During the appearance, Shaw claimed that the children's health declined after receiving the flu, Hepatitis A, and DTaP vaccines. She described the twins as appearing unwell, tired, and having blue lips the morning after their death, noting one twin's sunken eyes and dark circles.

According to Shaw's account on the podcast, her husband's family reportedly experiences adverse reactions to the flu shot. She stated the twins seemed fine after vaccinations and took a nap, but later became ill with diarrhea in the week following their hospital release. Shaw claimed they appeared to be eating and less lethargic the day before they died.

Authorities have not yet released an official cause of death for the twins. The arrest of Shaw, who was taken into custody in Boise and is awaiting extradition to Payette, followed what officials described as a lengthy and thorough multi-agency investigation. Shaw's attorney, Joseph Filicetti, has stated his belief that the twins died from vaccine complications, though he acknowledged he is not a medical expert. Filicetti also noted that Shaw had recently given birth to a premature infant, who is now under her husband's care, and that the couple had cooperated with law enforcement.
