U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a migrant with 49 previous arrests, including charges for burglary, vehicle theft, and assault with a deadly weapon, identifying him as one of the "worst of the worst" illegal immigrants residing in the United States. The individual, identified as Miguel Barrera-Corona, a citizen of Mexico, was apprehended in California over the weekend.

According to law enforcement officials, Barrera-Corona's extensive criminal history also includes convictions for criminal threats, driving under the influence, and various weapons charges. Officials stated that this operation targeted numerous individuals with criminal convictions, including drug traffickers, human traffickers, child predators, and sex offenders.

Other individuals arrested in recent sweeps include Carlos Guzman-Santiago, a Mexican national convicted of a second-degree forcible sex offense; Juan Carlos Jimenez of the Dominican Republic, who had a sexual assault conviction; Carlos Sipriano Moreno-Pineda of Honduras, convicted of abusing a spouse; and Glenda Molina-Sorto of El Salvador, convicted of child abuse and drug offenses.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital that "Sanctuary politicians allowed this serial criminal to terrorize American citizens." She added that President Trump and Secretary Noem "unleashed ICE to arrest the worst of the worst and get these criminal illegal aliens out of our country."

ICE stated in a release that the agency "will continue to enforce U.S. immigration laws to ensure criminal illegal aliens are identified, arrested, and removed, safeguarding communities across the nation."
