Hyundai Ioniq 5 Named Auto Express Used Car of the Year
For the first time, an electric vehicle has received the top honor from Auto Express's annual used car awards.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has achieved a historic milestone, being named Auto Express Used Car of the Year for 2026. Used examples are now available at a fraction of their original price, offering an accessible entry into electric motoring. Phil McNamara, editor-at-large for Auto Express, stated that the smartest used car buys are those that meet drivers' essential needs—whether that's low running costs, family space, or a premium experience—at a sensible price.
