Conor Hanlon, the husband of slain New Jersey therapist Brooke Hanlon, has been making weekly visits to their Chester home since her death, according to neighbors. Hanlon, 36, has reportedly been seen tending to the yard on Thursdays and Fridays, with his white Volvo SUV often parked in the driveway during the day, but not overnight.
Brooke Hanlon, 35, was found stabbed to death inside the couple's home on Pottersville Road on June 6. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case as a homicide, but has not named any suspects or persons of interest. Conor Hanlon has not been charged with any crime and has denied any involvement in his wife's death.
"My heart is totally shattered," he told the Daily Mail. When asked if he had any involvement, he responded, "Of course not." He described the situation as "a tragedy."
Neighbors have expressed unease as law enforcement has not provided updates on the investigation. One neighbor recalled that about three weeks before Brooke Hanlon's death, police had canvassed the neighborhood asking if everything was alright, following a reported 911 call in the area.
Brooke Hanlon, a mother and therapist, was discovered dead in her affluent New Jersey home, prompting a homicide investigation. Friends and family have expressed their support for the ongoing investigation. Some residents have expressed heightened security awareness, with one gun-owning neighbor stating he is prepared to defend his family if necessary, given that a potential perpetrator remains at large.
