Cailen Waddell announced Friday that his family has concluded their immediate search efforts for his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, and are preparing to return to the United States. Elizabeth Waddell was last seen on Grand Anse Beach in St. George’s, Grenada, on July 22, 2026.
"We have done what we can here, and the investigation will continue," Cailen Waddell stated on a website dedicated to the search. He expressed gratitude for the support from Grenadian authorities and supporters who contributed to the search fund. "Your support has had a meaningful impact on our efforts here," he wrote regarding the GoFundMe contributions.
Cailen Waddell also shared personal reflections on his 20-year relationship with Elizabeth Waddell, a 44-year-old physical therapist. "We met in 2003 at [the] American Dance Festival in Durham and have been together ever since," he said. "We balance each other, and that makes for a great partnership."
