Husband Charged with Murder After Realtor Wife Found Shot Dead in Virginia Home

Roger Bradford, 60, has been charged with first-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with the death of his wife, 54-year-old Lisa Bradford. Deputies responded to the couple's home in Aldie, Virginia, on Tuesday afternoon after a relative contacted authorities expressing concern about Roger Bradford's alleged involvement in his wife's death.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered Lisa Bradford deceased inside the residence. Her husband had already left the scene in a rental car, initiating a multi-state manhunt. Investigators tracked the vehicle's movement through Virginia, Maryland, and into Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police located Roger Bradford and took him into custody in Bedford, Pennsylvania, around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, approximately three hours after the initial call to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Authorities believe the shooting was domestic in nature, although they have not yet determined if there were prior domestic incidents involving the couple.

A handgun is believed to have been used in the killing, but the weapon had not been recovered as of Tuesday afternoon. Investigators are continuing to process the couple's home and the rental vehicle for further evidence.

Lisa Bradford was a licensed real estate agent in Northern Virginia since 2008, working for Compass. Her previous career included a decade with Ford Motor Company after graduating from Miami University. The couple had three children, two in college and one in high school, who have been notified of their mother's death.

Roger Bradford is awaiting extradition to Virginia. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
