Hunter Biden has sarcastically withdrawn his nomination of former President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, a humorous jab following Trump's remarks about the Iran war.

Last week, Biden initially announced on X, formerly Twitter, that he was "officially nominating" Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, an award Trump has publicly expressed a desire to win. Biden's tongue-in-cheek post noted Trump's repeated declarations of ending the war with Iran, stating, "No President in History has ended the same war so many times. Our Dear Leader has ended the war with Iran at least 38 times by CNN’s count... And he is nowhere near finished ending it. It’s a record worthy of the Nobel committee’s recognition."

While only specific individuals and bodies are eligible to submit formal Nobel Peace Prize nominations, Biden's post gained significant online attention. The commentary resurfaced after Trump declared during a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, that the war with Iran, which he initiated in February, was back on.

Responding to Trump's statement, Biden posted, "OMG! You are not going to believe this. The war with Iran is NOT over. I’d like to withdraw my nomination."

This latest post quickly went viral, accumulating over 1 million views online.
