Former U.S. President Joe Biden's prostate cancer has spread to other parts of his body and is causing him pain, his son Hunter Biden said in a recent interview. The cancer has metastasized into his bones and further, making it "very painful and it's very debilitating in many respects," Hunter Biden told the BBC in an interview broadcast Friday.
Joe Biden, 83, was the oldest man to serve as U.S. president, and his age was a subject of discussion during his time in office. Hunter Biden said the diagnosis has been difficult for the family, describing it as "very sad to watch."
Despite the pain, the former president "is still doing his thing" and speaking publicly about issues he believes in, Hunter Biden stated. "He so believes in this country," he added.
The former president revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in May of last year, less than four months after he left the White House. Hunter Biden is scheduled to publish a memoir, titled “Promise Me, America,” after the upcoming mid-term elections.
