Hunter Biden revealed on Friday that he would consider supporting either California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom or Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky for president in 2028. Biden made the remarks during a debate with Nick Fuentes on Channel 5.

"No, I think that there are a lot of people. I mean, I know that you think you’re going to laugh at me, but I personally like Gavin Newsom a lot," Biden said. "I think that he’s authentic in those beliefs, whether you agree with them or not."

Biden also praised Massie, citing the congressman's "principled stand as it relates to the Epstein files was incredibly courageous." He added, "And that’s why he’s not going to be a congressman anymore, but that’s why you know he could potentially make a really strong national candidate."

Both Newsom and Massie have faced criticism from former President Donald Trump. Newsom has been vague about his presidential ambitions, stating earlier this month that "fate" would determine his decision. Massie, who lost his primary race to a Trump-endorsed opponent after advocating for the release of the Epstein files and an end to the war in Iran, has not ruled out a presidential run. He indicated in May that he had filed with the Federal Election Commission for the 2028 House race, which would support him as a potential candidate for federal office.
