Jason Galanis, who previously testified against Hunter Biden, is now engaged to reality star Savannah Chrisley. Galanis, 56, was identified as the fiancé after Chrisley announced her pregnancy and engagement on Instagram.

Galanis and Hunter Biden were business partners from 2012 to 2015. Galanis told the House Oversight Committee in 2024 that he and Hunter Biden were equity partners at Burnham Financial Group (BFG), where Biden served as vice chairman. Galanis stated that Hunter Biden was brought into the venture for his "strategic relationships" with entities in Kazakhstan, Russia, and China.

Federal court documents indicate that through a BFG subsidiary, Burnham Securities, Galanis orchestrated a $60 million fraud scheme involving the sale of municipal bonds to the Wakpamni Lake Community of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Galanis was sentenced to 189 months in prison in September 2020.

While incarcerated, Galanis cooperated with House Republican investigators. In virtual testimony, he recounted a 2014 phone call where then-Vice President Joe Biden told an ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and his wife, oligarch Yelena Baturina, "You be good to my boy." Baturina had transferred $3.5 million to a firm controlled by Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer two months prior.

Galanis testified that Hunter Biden's primary objective was to generate billions for the family, leveraging his family name and access to his father. "The entire value add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden," Galanis stated. "Because of this access, I agreed to contribute equity ownership ... for no out-of-pocket cost ... in exchange for their, quote, relationship capital."

President Trump commuted Galanis' sentence last year. Galanis had been serving his sentence at a corrections facility in Montgomery, Alabama. Hunter Biden, in his own testimony to the House Oversight Committee, downplayed his connection to Galanis, stating he recalled meeting him only once approximately ten years prior.

Savannah Chrisley's father, Todd Chrisley, who also received a presidential pardon from Trump, served time at the same federal facility in Pensacola, Florida, as Galanis in 2023.

Galanis was previously described as "Porn's New King" due to his investments in internet pornography technology.
