Hull has been identified as the most affordable city in Britain for a night out, according to a study by ticket supplier Skiddle. A typical evening, including five drinks, a kebab, and a taxi home, averages £35.50 in Hull.

In 2017, the year Hull was designated a City of Culture, the average cost for drinks in the city was £21, with a kebab priced at £7 and a taxi home at £7.50. These figures contribute to its standing as the cheapest city for a night out.

In stark contrast, London emerged as the most expensive city, with drinks costing an average of £45.50, a kebab at £8.50, and a taxi home at £16, bringing the total to £70.

Following Hull in the ranking of affordable cities, Newport was the second cheapest at £42. Other cities that proved relatively inexpensive include Glasgow (£45), Sheffield (£46), and Coventry (£47).

On the higher end, after London, Brighton was found to be the next most expensive city at £64, followed by Manchester at £58 for a comparable night out.
