Hugo Taylor Shares Poignant Quote Amidst Ex-Wife Millie Mackintosh's New Relationship

Hugo Taylor shared a thoughtful quote on social media Wednesday, eight months after his split from ex-wife Millie Mackintosh. The post comes as Mackintosh has been seen publicly with a new man.

Taylor, 40, and Mackintosh, 37, who starred together on the reality show 'Made in Chelsea,' officially filed for divorce in February after seven years of marriage. The couple shares two daughters, Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four, who now divide their time between their parents' homes.

Last week, Mackintosh was photographed holding hands with her new boyfriend, Matthew Tanner, 38, described as a Welsh fitness enthusiast, during an outing in Chelsea. Tanner, who works as a Global Solutions Director and Programme Director at Robert Walters Consultancy, also appears to be passionate about fitness, with his social media showcasing his physique and detailing his participation in endurance races and ultra-marathons.

Mackintosh reportedly signed up for the celebrity dating app Raya over the summer. Sources close to her indicated that while she was not in a rush to find a new relationship, she was open to "having some fun and getting back out there." Her dating profile describes her as a 'creator, entrepreneur and author' and mentions that someone with 'emotional intelligence' would be most attractive to her.

The quote Taylor posted to his Instagram reads: 'All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither. Deep roots are not reached by the frost.' This is the opening line from a poem by J.R.R. Tolkien in 'The Fellowship of the Ring,' which rephrases the traditional proverb 'All that glitters is not gold' to suggest that outward appearances can be deceptive.

Taylor and Mackintosh's relationship has a public history, originating on 'Made in Chelsea' in 2011. Their initial romance was marked by a dramatic on-screen confrontation after Mackintosh discovered Taylor had been unfaithful with her friend. This led to their separation after six months.

Following separate paths, Mackintosh later married rapper Professor Green, whose real name is Stephen Manderson. Their divorce was finalized in 2016, with Mackintosh describing the marriage as 'toxic' and acknowledging they were both struggling with personal issues.

Mackintosh and Taylor reconciled in 2016, eventually marrying and welcoming their two daughters. They also resided in a renovated home in west London before their quiet separation, which was reported in February.
