How to Access Peacock Without a Direct Free Trial
Peacock offers a student discount and several indirect ways to sample the streaming service for free.
Peacock, the streaming service from NBCUniversal, provides access to a range of live sports, original series, and next-day NBC shows. While Peacock does not currently offer a direct free trial through its platform, several alternative methods allow potential subscribers to sample its content.
Peacock Subscription Tiers
Peacock offers three subscription plans: Select, Premium, and Premium Plus. The Select plan is priced at $8.99 per month or $89.99 annually, but it excludes live sports, movies, and Peacock Originals. The Premium tier costs $12.99 per month or $129.99 per year, while the Premium Plus option is $19.99 per month or $199.99 annually.
Student Discount and Trial Options
Students are eligible for a discounted rate of $6.99 per month for Peacock Premium, with the offer valid for 12 months. Verification of student status is required. Although direct free trials are unavailable, users can access Peacock through Amazon Prime Video, which offers a seven-day free trial of Peacock Premium Plus. This trial subscription will auto-renew at the annual rate of $199.99 unless canceled.
Additionally, a free trial of Peacock is available through Instacart+. Walmart+ subscribers can also get 30 days of Walmart+ for $1, which includes access to Paramount+ and Peacock. DIRECTV subscribers can receive two months of Peacock Premium by adding the Movies Extra Pack to their service.
Bundling Options
Peacock Premium and Premium Plus can also be bundled with Apple TV for a combined price of $17.99 per month for the Premium tier and $22.99 per month for the Premium Plus tier.
